"Once, by mistake,
She tore a map in half.
She taped it back, but crookedly.
Now all the roads ended in water.
There were mountains
Right next to her hometown.
Wouldn’t it be nice
if that were true?
I’d tear a map
And be right next to you."

Welcome to Crooked Map Family Travel!

Hi, I'm Amy! I'm thrilled to embark on my second journey around world, this time with my kids!
After years of traveling with friends and as a flight attendant, I can't wait to revisit some of those special places with my husband and our little ones. Traveling with a 4-year-old and 6-year-old is definitely a experience, but it brings so much joy and magic. I understand that while couple getaways are great, there's something truly special about exploring the world together as a family. Seeing my kids' excitement as they discover new foods and experiences makes every moment unforgettable.
Traveling offers a unique learning, one that goes beyond traditional education. It's something only those willing to take the leap truly understand. Travel is ingrained in me; I have always been captivated by the scents and sensations of hotels, airplanes, and nature. The thought of exploring new places ignites a passion within me that's hard to into words. My love for travel is more than just a hobby; it's a type of addiction that brings me immense joy.
Years ago, I worked in an office job and dreamed of visiting every country on my list. After being laid off due to the economy, I took a leap and became a flight attendant for a reputable airline in Dubai. My four years living there allowed me to make lifelong friends and visit incredible places I never thought possible, exploring 80 countries along the way. Eventually, I moved to Angeles and became a flight attendant with a different airline. This is where I met my husband, and now we live in Georgia with our two curious boys. I decided to leave my flight attendant job to spend more with my kids, and now I’m a travel agent, helping others plan their adventures!
I still daydream about travel, but now I envision my kids exploring alongside us. They'll discover just how vast the world is and understand that there's so much more beyond their immediate surroundings—different ways of life, diverse opinions, unique foods, and various cultures. They will experience firsthand that love is the universal language, shaping their character in beautiful ways.
Thank you for joining me on this journey! I'm excited to share tips on traveling, packing, destinations, hotels, restaurants, experiences, and budgeting. I'd love to hear about the countries and experiences on your bucket list!
