Let's just say all the breakfast are good. They are all similar and delicious. Try the yogurt, that was my sons favorite. He still talks about it and Iceland is famous for it.
Today we head to Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon and Diamond Beach. They are right beside each other but it's far drive so the only other thing on the agenda was Fjaoarjljufur Canyon. What, you can't say it? We were lucky with rain the entire trip because it seemed to rain only when we were in the car. No such luck today. We had to save the canyon for the way back and head straight to the glaciers. When we got to Jokulsarlon Lagoon though, sure enough the rain cleared and beautiful skies. Do we know how to plan or do we know how to plan?
Jokulsarlon Lagoon is so beautiful. It's filled with seals and white glaciers. You can walk to the water and every angle is unique. There are food trucks here but when we got there they were sold out of everything except hot dogs. Not upset about it. We spent a lot of time here because the kids loved the seals. We walked to diamond beach, where the ice was melting. It was scarce but still beautiful.

We drove 15 minutes to our hotel, Hali Country Hotel Hofn. It was a cute country hotel with spacious rooms and a gorgeous setting with a museum and restaurant onsite.

We decided to drive further into the town of Hofn for dinner. Hofn is a small, charming fishing village known for its history and fresh seafood. We dined at Pakkhus Restaurant, which is famous for its cozy atmosphere and a menu featuring dishes such as octopus, tuna steak, and the best smoked salmon around. It did not disappoint.

Back to our hotel to walk the beautiful grounds, visiting the sheep and horses before getting a good night sleep.
