Today was waterfall day but first, the breakfast at the Laekur hotel was amazing. At check out the nice lady at the desk asked if we would like to feed the horses and gave us a bag of bread. She also filled up our waters for the day. The tap water is delicious here. You can drink from any sink in Iceland.

Seljalandsfoss - The waterfall was magical, and we had an absolute blast. It was quite wet, so our waterproof clothes came in very handy. This is one of the best falls in Iceland. Every view is perfect, and you can even walk behind the waterfall for a unique perspective. It gets crowded with groups, and parking can be a mess. It's best to visit early to avoid the crowds.

Gljufrabuefoss - I didn't realize this waterfall was here during my last visit. It's a short walk from Seljalandsfoss and definitely worth it if you're brave enough to go in. My husband took one look and decided against taking the kids in. However, the kids begged to go and they were champs. It's just a short walk over rocks and through water to reach the cave, but be prepared to get wet. Once you are in though, WOW.

Skogafoss - This is another one of the best falls in Iceland. Okay, maybe they're all the best. You can enjoy this waterfall from the bottom, or take the 500 steps to the top for a different perspective. I didn't expect the boys to walk to the top after our already full day. They simply said, 'We can DO this.' Then, they started the journey up. After coming back down, it's fun to enjoy the water below for a few minutes. Then, head to the restaurant for the delicious soup and bread or burger.

Off to our Hotel for the night, Hotel Dyrholaey. The view from this hotel is spectacular. Staff is helpful and nice. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can do your laundry here. The front desk informed us if we would like to see the puffins, the best time is in the evening. Be careful though because the road going up to the lighthouse closes at a certain time. They were spot on because we saw puffins galore. This was such a sweet moment to see the boys ooh and ahh. Being up on the cliff and seeing the black beach below was also a great view.

We headed into the small town of Vik to eat tonight. We decided to try out Black Crust Pizzeria. I highly recommend this. If you're not sure about the black crust, get a regular pizza and the black crust cheese bread, it's so tasty!
